The Vermont HomeOwnership Fund expands opportunities for working people to remain in Vermont, raise their families and retire with dignity and equity. Owning a small piece of Vermont brings economic and social opportunities that make it easier for families to participate fully in civic life in our neighborhoods, communities, and social institutions.

The Vermont HomeOwnership Fund will support the NeighborWorks Alliance of Vermont. The five regional Centers assist hundreds of customers each year with the process of buying a home, by offering home buyer education, financial counseling, special financing products, and on-going assistance with home repairs, rehabilitation, refinancing, and home retention. The Vermont HomeOwnership Fund is housed at the Vermont Community Foundation and was capitalized with the generous support of individual philanthropists, private foundations, lending institutions, state agencies, and corporations who understand that Vermontís future is affected by the exclusion of significant numbers of its citizens from the economic and social benefits of homeownership.
